New Year Card

Каждый раз я торжественно клянусь, что начинать подготовку к новому году буду с января. И каждый раз не получается: там дела, тут какой-то праздник, ой-заказ-подкинули. . . Every time I swear that I would start preparing for the New Year from the beginning of new year. And every time it is impossible: cases, holidays, orders. . . Но надо начинать! But now I'm starting my new year marathon! Для этой открытки я взяла чипборд "Олени", обклеила его скрап-бумагой и сделала ему "пятнышки" белой акриловой краской. Не обошлось, конечно же, без блеска и снежинок. For this card I took chipbord "Deer", covered it with scrap-paper and made him a "dots" with white acrylic paint. And of course the glitter and snowflakes. С наступающим :)))) Happy New Year :))))

Christmas Eve table

I was told that when I was a little girl, and every year I discover new meaning in this phrase and find new proofs to it. Celebration is the awaiting of celebration. It is the preparing, the invites you sign, the cards you send to your friends, it is choosing gifts and menu, working over decoration – all that makes your heart leap, smile cross your face and improves your mood. Every year I feel it more and more clearly that anticipation is a part of celebration and feel joy just preparing to celebrate. And every year I begin to prepare a little earlier than last year ’cause it prolongs the festive feeling. Now when Halloween is not yet here, I check Christmas catalogues and look through the photos of previous years celebrating. And I just thought it might be interesting to you to look at our last year Christmas table setting and borrow couple of ideas maybe. These are two options we used. New Year House

Домик под снегом из заготовки " Домик ". New Year House from the chipboard house. Миниатюрный, он будет украшать мой дом ближе к праздникам. Весь домик обклеен из одного листа Вебстера, да еще половина осталась - такой он маленький. Miniature, it will decorate my house closer to the holidays. The whole house was covered with one sheet of Webster, but still half of sheet was left over - he was so small. Дополнительный " Набор окна и дверь для домика " тоже пошел в ход :) I also used a set 'Windows and a door to the house'. В роли снега у меня выступила обычная вата :) The snow is an ordinary cotton :) Вот только в окошке - девочки из бумаги Мелиссы, а сверху для создания эффекта "стекла" прошлась Глосси. In the window there are girls from Melissa's paper, and Glossy on the top to create a "window" effect. А чтобы создать себе "новогоднее" настроение, я включаю соответствующие песни - вот такая вот хитрость :) And to create New Year's mood, I turn on christmas songs :) Спасибо, что заходите! Album 'Snow Days'

Вот и я наконец-то поздравляю всех с Новым годом и Рождеством! Верю, что у нас всех все будет просто замечательно! :) So finally I say, 'Happy New Year and Merry Christmas!' Hope, everything will be OK in our lifes! :) А заодно покажу первую работу 2012 :) - альбом для фотографий о первых новогодних праздниках одной малышки: And at the same time I show you the first 2012's work :) - the album for the photos of first new year one young lady: Эту "веточку" я купила еще до нового года совершенно случайно и все хотела применить ее как-нибудь, уж больно она мне нравилась: I bought this 'twig' in last year and wanted to use it - I like it very much :) Альбом заказывали, глядя на мою предыдущую работу, так что со стилем я особенно выпендриваться не стала. They ordered this album after my previous work, so there's the same style. Единственная самостоятельная снежинка на весь альбом о зимних праздниках - парадокс! It's the only one snowflake in the hole album about winter holidays - paradox! Такие у меня "снежные" каникулы получились! Спасибо, что не забываете! Еще раз - с праздниками! Such a snowy vacations! Thank you for not forgetting! Once again - happy holidays!

Last in this year

Делала я тут три новогодних открытки, которые стали призом на конкурсе. Так как голова у меня уже взрывалась к тому моменту, как я стала их делать, две открытки - лифтинг. Первый лифтинг - работа Jannhild. И немного деталей: Вторая открытка делалась по образу и подобию работы Sarah Martina Parker : Рассмотреть поближе: Эдакий shabby-минимализм из головы. А елочку делала, ориентируясь на МК Оли-Pastila: Внутри пожелание можно написать на кальке: Итоги года буду подводить уже в 2011, а пока поздравляю всех с наступающими праздниками! Счастья!

Easy peasy Easter treat

Originally published at Yellow Chimney. Please leave any comments there. How do you start your Easter Sunday? Is it a trail for kids or a basket full of eggs set up on the breakfast table? My Easter bunny loves playing hide-n-seek with kids. He leaves some foot prints here and there to lead my youngsters to their chocolate treat. Then we continue with some Russian traditional foods like Easter bread (I’ll post the recipe a little later before the Orthodox Easter which is 1 May this year). And I also make some special deserts that will look interesting for children. I can tell you, it’s so easy here in UK, where there are very clear and pretty symbols connected to Easter, comparing to Russia, where the only symbol will be the Holly Cross. I love those bunnies, chicks, sheep and pastel colours and flowers and eggs and birdies. So this year we made some nest with chocolate eggs – so bright and shiny! Read the rest of this entry »
