SPRING
It is SPRING today. Guys, that’s official! No kidding. Springtime! In London there are blossoms on the trees, and they look like big fluffy clouds - and place our heads and thoughts exactly there. In the clouds, we mean. And you know what? No way we are going to wait any longer. Of course, we never wait, and we did say it before - but we are all human, and we repeat ourselves sometimes - we did wear a good share of “comfortable” and “cosy” things in winter, using these words as an excuse to dress down all the time. As much as we like it, but today it is spring, and spring it will be in a summer dress in spring. We see, you are confused with our logic? You think it’s too cold for a summer frock right now? We don’t. We have some loveliest dresses from the previous summer that we can wear now. No way we are waiting any longer and we are not going to stand two things: raised eyebrows and colds. Therefore we will still be a little sensible. We will take it easy still and wear things that way - so even our granny would approve. (Yes, we have a granny, and she worries about our health and demands us in scarves and hats still. Yes, we are grown-up but grannies are all same, right?). Summer dresses are not only for summer. We say it. Do you really want to argue on 1st of March? This dress - that’s a lovely one - you can see (or even buy, yeah) here.

Получилась она очень весенняя, вот такое у меня было настроение. Birthday Card for one girl. I've done very spring card because of my mood. Бумага - K&Co, сизаль и флористические веточки. But when it turns to spring we turn to green. To be honest March and even April, though they undoubtedly are spring months are not yet that warm and sunny to make me want salads and fresh fruit. But neither do I want a piece of pulled pork in heavy gravy. In spring I’m looking for some in-between options: green and light enough but warm and nourishing. So this post is about a perfect April bowl of soup. Peas and mint. You surely saw it in menus and probably tried it in some restaurant or cafe. Now it’s time to cook it yourself. Должен ли дизайнер каждый сезон изобретать новую стилистику, форму или цвет? Я думаю, что дизайнер, в первую очередь должен выработать свой неповторимый стиль, который будет узнаваем в каждой коллекции. Некое очарование, объединяющее все предметы коллекций разных сезонов. Но в каждой коллекции должно быть свежее решение этой самой стилистики. Ярким примером такой работы для меня является история Marni. Совсем недавно я задумалась над тем, что горячо любимая мной марка узнаваема с первого выхода. Мне стало интересно просмотреть все коллекции, начиная с самой первой. Я обнаружила, что фирменный стиль складывается из одинаковых, проверенных приемов. Рассмотрим примеры: Похожий крой. Например, эта блуза из сезона в сезон лишь хорошеет, но крой остается тот же: Fall 2007 Spring 2008 Fall 2008 Фирменное цветовое членение костюма (любовь к горизонталям и вертикалям также можно наблюдать в принтах изделий марки): Fall 2004 Spring 2007 Fall 2008 Spring 2011 Членение с использованием разных фактур: верхняя одежда с мехом в низу: Fall 2007 Fall 2008 Fall 2010 Игра с разными фактурами, смешение этих фактур (плотные ткани гармонично живут с прозрачными, а кружево не смущает соседство цветного хлопка): Spring 2009 Spring 2010 Spring 2011 Любовь к фактурам прослеживается и в выборе ткани для верхней одежды, это, как правило, сложная плащевка: Spring 2007 Spring 2008 Fall 2010 Любовь к пыльным оттенкам, особенно - розовому: Spring 2004 Fall 2006 Fall 2008 Spring 2010 Spring 2011 Любовь к носкам и гольфам - они присутствуют в коллекциях почти каждого сезона. Так же данный предмет гардероба выступает помощником в графическом решении костюма: Fall 2004 Fall 2005 Fall 2010 К легинсам дизайнер относится как к нижнему белью, они лишь дополняют образ и скромно выглядывают из под юбки или другой части одежды: Spring 2005 Spring 2007 Spring 2010 Spring 2011 Тема спортивного шика не раз попадала в сферу интересов дизайнера: Spring 2007 Spring 2011 Вывод: после просмотра всех сезонов Marni, у меня осталось четкое понимание стиля и духа марки. Зачем мне нужны подобные личные анализы, которые отнимают много времени? 1. Для вдохновения. Мало как еще можно оправдать свое зависание на style. com, когда на работе цейтнот. 2. Для самообразования и понимания политики коммерчески успешных марок. 3. Для того, чтобы не бояться быть узнаваемой.

But neither do I want a piece of pulled pork in heavy gravy. In spring I’m looking for some in-between options: green and light enough but warm and nourishing. So this post is about a perfect April bowl of soup. Peas and mint. You surely saw it in menus and probably tried it in some restaurant or cafe. Now it’s time to cook it yourself. It won’t take you more than 15 minutes. Recipe: 400 g frozen peas a small bunch of mint 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp cardamom To garnish: 3 bacon rashers olive oil handful pine nuts some mint leaves plain yoghurt Bring a sauce pan of water to boil. Put mint leaves (from about 5 stalks) in and allow to simmer couple of minutes. Add the peas, salt and cardamom and cook about 5 minutes till the pea is soft but yet didn’t lose the bright green colour. Separate peas and water using a sieve. Put the peas and leaves into a jug of blender, pour in 400 ml of peas “stock” and pulse for a minute. Use any of the garnish you like to serve it. It’s nice you can make it a vegetarian or add some bacon for more substantial lunch. Enjoy!
